LinkedIn Notes Overlay ("the Extension") is a Chrome extension that allows you to create, store, and manage private notes locally on your device while browsing LinkedIn. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

2. Data We Collect

The Extension collects and stores the following information:

• Notes Content: Any text you write in the notes field
• Profile Information: LinkedIn profile identifiers and names visible on the page
• Metadata: Timestamps of when notes are created and modified
• User Preferences: Font size and other UI settings

3. How We Store Data

All data is stored locally on your device only. We do NOT:

• Send any data to external servers
• Share data with third parties
• Store data in the cloud
• Track your activity
• Collect analytics

Data is stored using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API, which is encrypted and managed by your browser.

4. Data Access

The Extension requires the following permissions:

• storage: To save and retrieve your notes locally
• host_permissions (LinkedIn.com): To display the notes panel on LinkedIn pages

These permissions are used exclusively to provide the Extension's functionality.

5. Data Deletion

You can delete your notes at any time by:

• Using the delete button in the Extension's interface for individual notes
• Clearing your browser's local storage (which will remove all Extension data)
• Uninstalling the Extension (this will permanently delete all stored data)

6. Security

Your notes are stored locally on your device and are protected by:

• Your operating system's file system permissions
• Chrome's built-in storage encryption
• Your device's password/authentication

We do not transmit data over the internet, eliminating the risk of interception during transmission.

7. Third-Party Services

The Extension does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not share data with Google, LinkedIn, or any other organization.

8. Children's Privacy

The Extension is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Extension constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
